PCM GROUP PTY LTD secured its first direct contract with Rio Tinto in Australia in 2023. The award was a multi-million dollar contract forming part of the structural integrity program at Rio Tinto’s Parker Point site in Dampier, WA.
The project saw PCM Group deliver remediation services to 122 piles at Parker Point wharf, with PCM Group becoming the first contractor to be selected to apply the Humidur anti-corrosive coating system to a Rio Tinto asset in Australia. As part of its integrated services offering, PCM Group also delivered all access support via extensively designed and engineered Layher scaffolding.
Obtaining Category 3 vendor status with Rio Tinto and subsequent award of this contract at Parker Point was a key landmark for PCM Group, for both its local operation in Karratha and future engagement with Rio Tinto nationwide
